Family Wealth Statement
In the Legacy Interview we learn about the significant people, events, and times that have influenced
you and shaped your financial philosophy and vision for the future. This segment concludes with the
Family Wealth Statement, a compelling document (six to ten pages) recalling the family's history,
financial philosophy, and intent for their wealth. This statement guides everything
we do and stands as a legacy to current and future generations. It
outlines the philosophy and principles that have guided the creation
and preservation of the family wealth; the risk tolerances; lifestyle
objectives; charitable giving policy; and missions in life. In addition,
it articulates your perception of the responsibilities that accompany the ownership of
wealth.
